Debra Yates is a contemporary artist who explores the act of painting as a process, resulting in both aesthetic and harmonious revelations. The “seemingly” spontaneous work reveals the vitality of abstraction.

This Miami Series was a created with a “burst of energy,” energy that was used to create this large-scale body of work. Yates’ new compositions are exuberant, exuding confidence. The end results are paintings that feel harmonious, joyful and resolved.
